We love this question! Big Dog Energy Company is different from other online pet supply stores because we focus on providing products specifically for large and giant breed dogs. We think of ourselves as the "Big & Tall" section for pooches!

This specialization allows us to focus all of our attention on sourcing products that meet your big ole pup's unique sizing and durability requirements. Our goal is to build the most trusted catalog of products for larger than average dogs, and what better way to do that than by offering products that have been reviewed and vetted (no pun intended...or was it?) by other large dog owners?

But if you want to buy a massive harness and use it as a condo for your chihuahua, we're not judging you (we love all shapes and sizes of dogs).

The short answer...we're looking everywhere and constantly adding new products/lines!

Our main concern is sourcing quality products that meet our size standards. This means that a lot of our products come from other small businesses and manufacturers, not all of which necessarily specialize in big dog products. We're just bringing them together into one, easy-to-find place!

We try to prioritize products from USA-based companies, but if we believe that a company is providing a quality product and we see value, we're interested.

We currently only ship within the United States. We hope to serve a broader market in the future, but we first want to focus on perfecting our offering in the US!

Aaaaah the golden question of online shopping! We ship all orders from our Chicago location using USPS Priority (we also offer this service for free when your order is over $60 excluding tax). The typical estimate for your order to reach you is 1-3 business days, not including processing time. We aim to process all orders within 3 business days, as well, putting your 'maximum' timeframe between 4 and 6 business days! Keep in mind, that we often process orders on the same or next day, realistically meaning that you'll receive your product in 2-5 business days after placing your order!

We also work with some partners that are located in different locations, and their processing times may slightly vary from our Chicago location's; However, processing/shipping time are one of the pieces of criteria that we use to vet these partners. So rest assured, we'll have your product to you in quick order...No waiting for weeks!

While we aim to get your order out as quickly as possible, unfortunately, some situations are out of our control; However, we promise to always be transparent, communicative, and helpful throughout the process. We will always provide you a tracking number, when that option is available, and we're always here to help with any order inquiries!

We understand that price is one of the biggest considerations when making your purchase. One thing to keep in mind about products made for bigger dogs is that those products are often times...BIGGER! More and sturdier material is needed to produce the same product for a larger dog than a dog of a smaller stature.

We also source quite a few of our products from other small businesses that handmake and manufacture their own products. This labor-intensive practice sometimes results in higher costs, but luckily, this often times translates to a higher quality.

As fellow big dog owners, we understand that this can add up; So we're always trying to find quality products that we can offer at different price points. We think this whole store/customer relationship works better when you have more options! We also do our best to list our products at competitive prices.

At the moment, we are currently 100% online! This model allows us to save on overhead costs, which helps us keep prices as competitive as possible.

While we're purely digital right now, we're not ruling out a physical location (or you might even catch us at a pop-up) sometime in the future.
